Attorney Candice Dixon, Owner and Founding Partner

Candice Dixon is an experienced trial attorney with 10+ years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Candice began her career at the Office of the Public Defender for the 10th Judicial Circuit, where she litigated misdemeanor and felony cases. In private practice, Candice has litigated Social Security claims and assisted with Personal Injury cases.

Candice is passionate about providing compassionate and zealous representation for her clients. Her respect for the constitutional rights of her clients was borne out of tirelessly representing her indigent clients in criminal court. In administrative courts, she used her compassion to represent disabled clients (who were unable to work) obtain their disability benefits through the Social Security Administration.

BACKGROUND

Candice has prioritized helping others throughout her career. Prior to becoming an attorney, Candice worked in the mental health field, helping find employment and housing for clients diagnosed with mental illnesses. Candice also taught life management skills to her clients struggling to balance their daily lives with their diagnoses. Currently, Candice serves on the boards of the Polk County Association for Women Lawyers and Polk County Trial Lawyers’ Association.

EDUCATION

Candice received her legal education at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville where she was on full academic scholarship and graduated with honors. During law school, Candice served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing. Candice also clerked for Circuit Court Judge Waddell Wallace in the 4th Judicial Circuit.

Candice received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Florida.
